We are a family-run paddlesport hire operation based at Jubilee Green, Saltash, on the beautiful tidal River Tamar. We offer self-guided hire of solo kayaks, tandem kayaks and stand-up paddleboards for all abilities.
Whether you're a first-time paddler looking for a gentle family adventure or an experienced kayaker wanting to explore the stunning Tamar Valley AONB, we have a route for you.
All equipment, safety briefing, buoyancy aids, helmets and a dedicated safety boat are included in your hire. Just turn up and paddle.
A stable sit-on-top kayak perfect for individuals wanting to explore the Tamar at their own pace. Suitable for beginners.
A two-seater sit-on-top kayak ideal for couples, friends or a parent and child. Great for families and first-timers.
Stand-up paddleboarding on the Tamar. A brilliant full-body workout with stunning views. Suitable for calmer conditions.
Beginner-friendly. Sheltered route north of Saltash, perfect for families and first-timers.
Intermediate. Shorter route along the western bank, staying close to our base.
Extended route taking in the Lynher estuary, Ince Castle and Wacker Quay.
For experienced paddlers heading north to Weir Quay, Halton Quay and Cotehele.
All prices include buoyancy aid, helmet, paddle, safety briefing and safety boat cover. Children's rates available — please ask.
We operate in full compliance with PaddleUK guidance for commercial operators and the Dockyard Port of Plymouth Order 2020. Every hire includes a comprehensive pre-activity safety briefing.
Dedicated powered safety boat on the water at all times. Driver holds RYA Powerboat Level 2 and Maritime First Aid certification.
Buoyancy aids and helmets mandatory for all hirers. VHF radio, throw lines, first aid kit and AED defibrillator on site.
Conditions monitored every 30 minutes. Maximum Beaufort Force 4 for kayaks, Force 3 for SUPs. Hire suspended in unsafe conditions.
All staff hold enhanced DBS checks. Designated Safeguarding Officer on site at all times. PaddleUK and NSPCC trained.
All zones planned around the Dockyard Port of Plymouth Order 2020. No-go zones clearly marked on all customer maps.
Comprehensive public liability and employer's liability insurance covering all craft and activities offered.
